What Bryn and I have been up to

This summer has gone by way faster than I wanted it to. I had lots of goals for the summer but one of my main goals was to teach Brynlee how to read. Big goal I know, but she wants it SO bad. I am not the kind of mom than thinks that my kindergartener need to be reading Harry Potter by the time she starts school, but I do think that when a child is ready they are ready.
She keep asking me.
And asking me!
I feel a little guilty because I know that she was ready awhile ago but I was dragging my feet. It has been going well so far. She does not have a long attention span, but when we do it at just the right time I am amazed at how much she picks up.
It's such a unique feeling to see your child start to learn something for the first time, that is why I love being a mom so much. I'm even amazed when I see Trey learning how to follow simple commands!

Her writing is really improving.

Today was a good day, we are almost half way through the book so we need to "book it" in order to get finished before the 29th!
(Thanks Karen for introducing us to this fabulous book!)

We were recently forced to make our blog private, and I realized that I don't have an email address for you. Will you email me at calebandmarci@yahoo.com so that I can invite you. Thanks.

So fun to catch up on your blog. You make me laugh every time. Your kids are getting so big and adorable. Good luck with the reading lessons. Try the Dick and Jane books- they're great too.
