My 4 year old wears glasses now!

We got a note sent home with Addy saying that she needed to take a trip to the Eye Doctor. It was a good thing we went when we did because this "eye problem" Addy is typically easy to correct if you get to it before the age of 6! I was so glad the pre-school caught this because I did not lead on at all that there was a problem. It is actually a "lazy eye" so the glasses may not be permanent, cross our fingers...
She is cute as a button with these glasses!
Can't do anything with our messing around with something she's not suppost to have.

So far so good with keeping them on!

School Art

We finally went through all the girls school art. As much as I love looking at what they have done, I just can't save everything. So We pick a few to save and, take pictures of the rest and then toss them straight into the recycle! They are okay with it ONLY because I have taken a few pictures.

Brynlee loves going through stuff and organizing!

Sports Day- Kindergarten Style

Yellow Team Captain: Brynlee
(She was pretty proud of that fact)

They did all kinds of races, she said this was one of her favorites. The teachers sure put lots of work into this and it was so cute. The weather was unbelievably hot and HUMID but I tried to not let that distract me, because it sure didn't bother those 40 some odd kindergartners.

I can never have too many pictures of these two together!

Mrs. Bensen and Bryn.

There cute team!

The  snow cone at the end was THE best part! I leaned that day that Maryland is know for a "snow ball" flavor; egg custard. Crazy huh? So far a peppermint stick in a lemon has been the most odd thing I've seen native to this land, but the egg custard probably takes first place now.
Brynlee really enjoys all kinds of sports, and for the little exposure she has had is really pretty good.
She did not get that from her mother.

Mothers Day

The stars finally aligned and I got a Mothers Day photo with my kids. I know I will look back in a few years and really cherish photos like this.

After Church Ethan had a nice meal planned. The kids got excited when Dad put birthday candles on the cake, I guess that's how we celebrate Mothers Day around here?

As wild as Mr. Trey is he's also, quite the 'lovey boy". It's no secret that my heart melts when we kisses me like that, I can't get enough of it!
I honestly love being with these kids, I thank my Father in Heaven that they were sent to me. How grateful I am that they are mine!
And also thankful to my own mother for teaching me how to be a mother.

DC with Grandma & Grandpa

We made a day trip to DC while my parents were here and made it to a few different stops. First up was the air and space museum. As with all the museums in DC it did not disappoint! We never spend too much time in any museum, but I think that is the key to making it an enjoyable trip.

I didn't get many wanting to stop for a picture.  The kids were too excited about the space ships and airplanes.

The next stop was the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Dad got a big kick out of seeing how tall he was in "money".

Jumbo Slice was Mom's request. It was definitely JUMBO! Interesting establishment, but worth going once...

I'm telling ya, those slices were HUGE!!

George Town Cupcake was also a Mom request and a me request! The set up in there is very attractive!

We all had a hard time deciding!

This kid leash is a life savor for us.

They look so pretty, its hard to take that first bit.

These cupcakes were amazing! Absolutely amazing, we all went to town on the cupcake of choice.

We had such a fun day hanging out with my parents. With all we did we still made it home at a decent time, which made the day that much better! Such good times.

Mt. Vernon

I don't want to forget about all the little trips we have been able to take since we have lived here in Maryland. I'm thankful that Grandparents have made it possible to do several of these. It was wonderful to go to George Washington's old stomping grounds in Virgina with my parents!
(I wish I had the time to comment on each photo for posterity sake, but I just don't! I'm doing really good to just get these up on the blog in hopes that some day this will get printed out. Hopefully a picture can tell a hundred words on this blog...)

The grounds were gorgeous, could not put the camera down (even though it was a little messed up).

The view was amazing!

I'm so thankful that we have had the privilege to spend these two!
We surprised an old friend my Dad grew up with by visiting there Restaurant. It was good company and a great meal!
